Between The Lines Of Love And Hate (part 1)

The fire that burns deep within, that screams to be release, to have a voice and to be free. That is how I feel with acting. I don't want to be like everybody else, I was created to be me.

So these last few days I was able to borrow my moms Ipad, so I immediately started to discover the Ipad and Imovie functions. And I did. I created this interesting trailer about the lines between love and hate.

Many people believe and love God, yet don't celebrate and believe in themselves?

You say you love God?
You say you believe in God?
But do you love yourself?
Do you believe in yourself?

"When God created you He said it was good",

Many people believe and love God, yet don't celebrate and believe in themselves?

I believe this is one of the obstacles in walking out your purpose. When God created you He said it was good, He created you unique, in His perfect image and likeness, with your unique talents and gifts yet we try to meld in and be what everybody else is doing or what other expect from us. My revelation. (I got to be honest here). We try so hard not to be like the world. But how many of us get lost in being like everybody in church. There is a culture in the world but there is also a culture in the church. We got to be careful that we do not become religious like the religious people back in the days of Christ. They all dressed the same, talked the same, walked the same and preached the same. They had beautiful words but no revelations. Their lives did not represented anything what God stands for. Love and acceptance. When was the last time you genuinely spoke, listened and show interest in that person in church but also to that man or woman outside in the world. Christ didn't look like nobody, He walked with all people, the prostitute, the liar, the thief, the prisoner and He never judged them. His ministry was also not limited by the four walls of the church building. He was out there!. He rocked His own outfit and talked totally the opposite of what the high priest were preaching. He only did what the Father told him and He embraced his uniqueness. He knew who He was with confidence. He didn't shy away from who He was and what He was born to do! And the most beautiful of His character, He never placed himself above anyone and with dignity he would also serve.

Revelation: Don't forget to love yourself? How do you do that? Start with being honest with yourself? How do you talk to yourself, How do you talk and treat other people? Are you positive or constantly tearing people down. This is a reflection of your own self worth. If you cannot celebrate somebody else that means you cannot celebrate yourself. Pray and ask God to get to the root of this and to create in you a clean heart and a right spirit. Than start speaking life into yourself, tell yourself all the things God would tell you? Start being thankful for what you have instead of looking at what you miss. Encourage yourself? Allow yourself to live and enjoy life? Eat and have a healthy lifestyle. Get rid of all the toxic thoughts and words you speak to and over yourself. Believe in yourself, take leaps of faith, listen to your heart desires and dreams. God gives you them, allow them to live. When you do that you embrace who God created you to be. Be your Unique self! You are created in His image and in His likeness. Look in the mirror and see God in you.

The Journey of a Creative Artist 2

So I just woke up after a late night poetry class yesterday.
I  have been participating in a program called talentlab at Bijlmerpark theatre in Amsterdam. It has been a tough rollercoaster year with ups and downs but we are almost at the finishline. Yes there were some giants I had to face. It wasn't easy cause those giants had me questioning myself and my talents over and over again. I am a perfectionist and what I do, I want to do it better, I want to be the best, I want to be the best of the best in what I do. Is that a bad habbit? Maybe, sometimes.

Sometimes cause it reacts on my enemy frustration and it can take away all the fun out of learning. But on the other hand shouldn't we reach out to be the best in what we do? They always say, don't settle for where you are but always reach out for higher. And that is what I do. I may be the only one experiencing this but I feel that as an artist as a performer I cannot survive being just good or an average. It's like the law of the jungle, only the strongest survive. After being part of this world now for 34 years I can say it's not only the law of the jungle, but also the law of the world. You have to have backbones to make it in this world. I do believe we all have those backbones or else we wouldn't be here today. The fact that we woke up this morning says we have backbones. In my proces of 34 years I can also say that talent alone won't bring you succes or bring you to your destination. The most important question is are you prepaired and determenid? You can be as good as you want to but if you are not determined you won't get any far.

Yes, I have my seasons when I have all the creativity in the world, when I feel that I'm the best and that I can tackle every giant. Yes even Goliath. But I'll be honest I can also have some dark and cloudy seasons. When I have no inspiration, I can't write, I can't think of anything creative, I can't move and all I just want to do is fly, fly away from everything. For me as a artist not having any inspiration, having a writersblock or not being able to create is one of the most painful parts. It makes you doubt yourself as a artist, it steals away the air that you need to breath to make you feel alive. The only thing that I can do in these moments is pray, pray and pray. Here is where I realise that my own creativity and strength is limited and I just let God be God.
Then inside of me this small seed with the size of a mustard seed keeps on pushing and pushing this faith through me. It picks me up and pushes me forth to keep on going. It shows me that there is still so much that hasn't been said, still so much that hasn't been written and still so much that hasn 't been done. These are the moments when I realise that every voice, every sound, every idea matters. And that there are so many voices and talents out there that don't speak, that don't say a thing. They are just there minding their own bussines or adding nothing uplifting to the platform.

As a believer I do believe we all have been given talents according to our own ability. And that we have to use, no matter the size of what has been given to us. We are called to shine our lights in this dark world. That's why I'm also determined to use and take out all that God has placed in me. Just as Les Brown qoutes: Die empty, don't die and take all your dreams and talents with you. I believe, I know that I have been created by a Great God and that there is greatness inside of me. Knowing that I'm in a process, on a journey gives me peace. Too many times I required of myself to know it all, to do it all and to have it all. But life is teaching me that, that is not the way it works.

It 's about Life!

Are you happy with who You are?

Your eyes, your ears, your voice, do you know that you where perfectly created and formed, exactly in the way God wanted you to be. He sees the ability’s in you and knows what He can do through you? A lot of times when we look at ourselves we only see the things we cannot do, that's also the way it is in the world today. Sometimes people only look at you for the things that you can and what you have achieved. God looks at you and sees all kind of ability’s and opportunity’s.
He also want us to look at our self like that, and that we stop complaining when He call us to step out in greatness. Many times we think, I’m not good enough, I don't have that agree to do that, our we have failed for some things in the past and now we are afraid to try it again. Don’t you know that those who have success are those who never gave up. God did not give us a spirit of  fear but of  power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 tim 1:7)
We need to stop thinking like victims, stop looking at our problems like they are giants. Instead of that we need to focus and know the greatness of God that lives inside of us. God created us just the way He wanted us to be, He gave us all different kind of talents to use it, to multiply it, to use it in this dark world to make a difference in the world. God loves us and wants good things for us. God loves you and has a hopeful future for you! Not only for me, but also for you!
God is willing and more than able if you just believe. What your mind and heart believes, that is who you are and who you will always be. Stop believing the negativity you have heard all your life or what people have been telling you. But start believing the promises God has for your life!
