What to do on a Saturday night in Barcelona?

We did our hair, make up and got dressed for a rooftop cocktail night. We were ready for the night. It turned out to be a whole journey to find a rooftop/ sky bar. There are tons of them in Barcelona, only they close around 10pm. So you have to be out early. We went to three hotels and every time we got there, they were already about to close.

We had to improvise and find another place where we could eat tapas and drink cocktails.

Thank God we did find that and a whole lot more.

We went to visit Maremagnum the only covered shopping center in Barcelona. They have Zara, Mango, Jack&Jones, Bershka, Victoria Secret, and many other great shops. It's the only one that stays open on Sunday's. So if its raining in Barcelona, you know the place to be. We had an adventurous weekend.

The fire that burns deep within, that screams to be release, to have a voice and to be free. That is how I feel with acting. I don't want to be like everybody else, I was created to be me.

So these last few days I was able to borrow my moms Ipad, so I immediately started to discover the Ipad and Imovie functions. And I did. I created this interesting trailer about the lines between love and hate.

Make up like a queen/ #IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONMYTV

Hello Beautiful People,
Last week we had kingsday in the Netherlands. This inspired me to dress up and own that day like a queen and experiment with fabulous colors. I am also sharing my opinion as a carribean actress and my desire on more color on the TV. Yes I want to see more color on my dutch TV, on the big screen, the media, fashion and on Top! We live in a place with so many cultural diversity I want to see that reflected when I look at my TV or open up a magazine. Unfortunately this is not the case, after years and years of speaking on how to bring that change. I believe the change is only gonna come when we ourself rise up and start creating our own content/film/tv series/magazines and businesses. I want to see more black filmwriters, I want to see more black TV productions, I want to see more black filmmakers, I want to see more black actors and actresses in a tv serie or on the big screen. I want to see more black hosts on tv, I want to see more color on my TV. I want to see more color on the cover of a magazine, I want to see more color on TOP! #IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONMYTV #IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONTHECOVEROFAMAGAZINE #IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONTOP As a woman of Purpose, a woman of Faith, I also want this with faithcontent! Last Saturday I was blessed to sit and talk with this beautiful young lady. Sefanja van Dijk. She has been blessed with multiple talents and gifts. She is the creator and face behind Lois Rose Wellness & Beauty. She works with all hair types from all kinds of cultures, she does make up for every event. She absolutely knows how to work her creative hands. Her compassionate heart of faith will encourage and inspire every cliënt. She will definitely make you feel like royalty. What is also her ultimate goal. She recently started on a project A beautiful reflection. A project  where new mothers learn to embrace their body and beauty as a new mother. I had the privilege to sit and talk to her about faith, purpose, God and beauty. I was very encouraged by her words of wisdom. Upcoming friday 7 and saturday 8 November @ Bijlmerpark Theatre me and other great poets will be sharing some of our latest works. Be there! I will be talking about love. Here is one of the poems that I will be sharing.

The Beauty of a woman

Once I gave my heart away to a man who didn’t know how to appreciate love. At the end he gave me back my heart, broken and full with scars. I was walking around in circles, going back and forth trying to put the pieces back together. But just like a mirror, once it is broken the scars will always be seen. Until I met my Father and He decided to give me a new heart. And taught me some words of wisdom:


I made every woman like a queen, to be treated as royalty; I gave every woman the wisdom and the knowledge to think and to teach generations to generations that a woman has the strength to stand on her own feet. Not to be depended upon or desperate for the love of any man, because love and life come from me. A woman is made to be treated with dignity and respect. Not only in the beginning when things are always fun, when he spoils you with diner by candle light, with cards and roses but also in those times when there is rain and storm.


So to every woman give yourself the time, because he can be here today and try to walk away the next day. If he is worth it he will appreciate and give you your time. And if he is the one he should love you fulltime, over time, all the time. Just like my father said, you are a queen and should be treated as royalty and don’t settle for anything less!

Where it all begins!

Where did it all begin? Can you remember the day that you woke up and realize that you wanted to be a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer, a dancer or an actrice? Being inspired by the people surrounding you or what you have seen on the TV or heard on the radio. Suddenly there was a fire inside of you and you where determent to be what you desired to be. You had it all planned out, there was a strength inside of you that kept you going on. And then 1 day you wake up to find out, that you're on a road that you don't even know how you got there. Dark and rainy days have slowly entered your sunny, shiny road. The things in life have got you cut up, confused and hurt. Living a life and wondering if it's really yours? Cause you never thought that the sun of your childhood would lead you to this point in life! The reality is that in life we go through rain and storms, we have or ups and downs, we gain and we lose but not for nothing! By our trials and tribulations we learn and we grow. We learn that there is strength inside of us, there is a strength God placed in every woman and man. That strength grows stronger with every storm that passes by. And the beauty of it all is that you don't have to stand through the storms alone! God is there right by your side! And all the visions, thoughts and dreams that encouraged you and gave you strength are seeds that He placed inside your heart. And that seed is waiting there for you to water it, so that vision, those thoughts and dreams inside of you can come to live. From the beginning of life we all receive a seed that is pure and true, to work out, so we can make a change in this world. That’s why we all need a vision a thought or a dream in life. If you don’t know what is yours I want you to take some time to find out what your vision, what your thought and what your dream is? And when you find it don't be afraid to work it out, so you can be part of making a difference in the world today!
