How I got on TV | TV Direct | Jachmin Productions

Hello, hello, hello.
Enjoy and be inspired by both of the video
Don't forget to like, share & subscribe 😉

Online Commercial Culturele Diversiteit

Check out mijn creatieve experiment. #I am a work in progress# Music: Bensounds Film equipment: Ipad 2 Other tripods can be used aswell: Tripod: https://amzn.to/2MCvvwp Universal Tablet Holder: https://amzn.to/2QyMyTl Like, share or subscribe to stay up to date. Casting Call

Oproep!!!
Omdat: Culturele Diversiteit vernieuwing brengt.
Omdat: Culturele Diversiteit................................

#IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONMYTV

#IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONMYTV expresses how I feel about the need for more color on TV, the big screen, on the cover of a magazine and on TOP!  Living in a place with so much cultural diversity and so much creative talents like actors, actressess, hosts and when we turn on the dutch TV it is no true reflection of reality. Being a afro carribean woman I want to be able to relate with what I see on TV. It's a shame that we been having these same discussion/dialogues for more than 20 /30 years and still so little changes. There are more than 2 or 3 black actors living in The Netherlands. That's the reason for my own home made commercial, call it what you want but I call it #IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONMYTV

I call up every creative writer, filmmaker, actors, actressess, hosts anyone with a passion for media, entertainment, fashion or business to stand up, connect and create and bring the change we want to see and leave behind!

Like, Share, Support and Comment below if you agree and would also like to see more color on your TV.

Make up like a queen/ #IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONMYTV

Hello Beautiful People,
Last week we had kingsday in the Netherlands. This inspired me to dress up and own that day like a queen and experiment with fabulous colors. I am also sharing my opinion as a carribean actress and my desire on more color on the TV. Yes I want to see more color on my dutch TV, on the big screen, the media, fashion and on Top! We live in a place with so many cultural diversity I want to see that reflected when I look at my TV or open up a magazine. Unfortunately this is not the case, after years and years of speaking on how to bring that change. I believe the change is only gonna come when we ourself rise up and start creating our own content/film/tv series/magazines and businesses. I want to see more black filmwriters, I want to see more black TV productions, I want to see more black filmmakers, I want to see more black actors and actresses in a tv serie or on the big screen. I want to see more black hosts on tv, I want to see more color on my TV. I want to see more color on the cover of a magazine, I want to see more color on TOP! #IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONMYTV #IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONTHECOVEROFAMAGAZINE #IWANTTOSEEMORECOLORONTOP As a woman of Purpose, a woman of Faith, I also want this with faithcontent! In the states I know they are very active, in Africa they are very active in writing and producing faith entertainment tv shows/films/stageplays. Where are my brothers and sisters here in The Netherlands? Drop a message if you can relate, lets brainstorm, lets start creating and bring a light and colorshift! Commercial Op is Op Voordeelshop

Family here it is. My commercial campaign for Op is Op voordeelshop.
Commercials will be seen on sbs6, Veronica, Net 5 en sbs9.
Radio commercials on 538, Skyradio en 100%NL
It was an amazing experience. Always loved acting, act crazy on stage and behind the mirror. (I still do that once in a while ðŸ˜‚) And when that audition came up. I really believed and claimed it was for me. I remember as a child, I used to dream, I used to dream big. Since I was little girl God placed great visions in my heart. Visions beyond my own imagination. Then somewhere along the way of growing up and disappointment after graduation and feeling trapped between a job where I cannot grow and develop that what God placed inside of me, and the same monthly bills over and over again. I started to loose pieces of me. Pieces of that adventurous girl living inside of me. I am a woman of purpose and believe we all have a purpose in life. Nobody is here just to take up space. I'm not there yet. The things that I am doing are just a beginning. When I was in Los Angeles and New York, away from the daily routine, I realized how much I neglected that girl inside of me, how much I neglected that, what gives me joy. I really try to guard my heart that I don't forget who I am, what I love to do and where I want to go. At the end of my road I don't want to die with all these dreams, thoughts and visions inside of me. I don't want to leave this place and missed the hope and future God has for me. I don't want to spend the best of my life selling myself, my talents and gifts to build up someone elses dream. I pray that you too will open up and listen to that spontaneous, adventurous girl or boy living inside of you. Too many times we forget about ourselves, we stop dreaming because we lost hope and faith. And then we get cut up in this rat race of life. I want to encourage you don't stop dreaming. There is a reason, a purpose why God placed these dreams and desires in your heart. Having a vision in life is so important. In the word of God, Salomo, the wisest man that ever lived said: Without a vision the people perish. We all need a vision that rises up the spirit within us. It is so important that we know who we are and whose we are. In God we find secret keys that will unlock the talents and gifts He placed inside of us, for a divine purpose. "Live your life or life will outlive you."

Successful Black Female Entrepreneurs

Full enthusiasm I picked up the magazine FAB. A magazine about female entrepreneurs in The Netherlands. Strong, brave and wise women with courage that started their own businesses. They left their comfort zone of working for a boss from 9 to 5 to start their own career. How great, how wonderful. I love to read these stories to inspire myself. As I turned the pages I saw all kinds of beautiful women passing by. I saw single women, married women, housewives all kinds of women with different backgrounds. I continued and went through the pages to look for a woman just like me. I turned the pages to look for cultural diversity. I looked, and looked until I finished the whole magazine. I got to the last page of the magazine and I couldn't find her. I couldn't find none of the women that represent every day women in the culturally diverse society we are living in today. I was very disappointed cause all I saw were the same women, page after page. But not one looked like women I see every time I step outside my door. Not one woman that looked like the Surinamese, Antillean, Cape Verdean, African, Dominican, Portugese women I know. I'm disappointed how is it possible that I didn't see 1 black female entrepreneur in the magazine. I'm so disappointed because I know that they are out there. These women are great in fashion, they are great in cosmetics, great in designing, great in finance, great in management, great in coaching, great in music. But they are not being portrayed in the media at all. Not here in The Netherlands where I live. Why are these women being covered as a secret to be forgotten?

Why do I have to go to an international magazine to read and see more about black female entrepreneurs. There are many, many black successful female entrepreneurs out here in The Netherlands. But they are not given any platform to share their story so they can be a role model for the ladies out here. I want to see and hear more about black female entrepreneurs I can relate to. Women who made it from the scratch. Women who haven't had mommy and daddy with a business of their own. I want to hear the stories of cultural diverse women who had to fight their way through to learn about businesses, to learn how to adapt into an unfamiliar culture cause they never been taught how to talk or how to negotiate with a CEO. I want to see and hear more of these stories. How did they climb up on that ladder, what steps did they took. What obstacles did they faced when they tried to be somebody in a world where no one knew their names.
I want to hear stories about women who didn't have any money in the bank and still managed to start her own business. All around the world, there are black female entrepreneurs making it. I was very happy I was able to turn into a magazine like the O' magazine or Essence to read about success stories of black female entrepreneurs but very disappointed I couldn't find it in a Dutch magazine.

I love to hear stories about women like Oprah and Lisa Nichols, women who had to deal with life and face their reality. Knowing that if they wanted a change they had to step out and change their whole surroundings. Their thoughts, their thinking and the people they hung out with.
I'm still disappointed that it's hard to find success stories of black successful women in The Netherlands. We live in 2015 and it shouldn't be like that. We still have to fight to be seen, to get a platform to share our stories. So I went on the internet and did some google research about black female entrepreneurs. And I found some amazing stories, that need to be shared. Stories to inspire every day women. Women from all cultures.
I have a short example: You may have never heard about it, I didn't until 2005. It was the year I went to the states with one of my dear friends Melissa van Hetten. Also a very inspiring and creative woman. We stayed in New York in Harlem and she introduced me to a beauty line and store called Carol's Daughter.
I was in 7th heaven when I stepped into the store. She told me about Carol's Daughter being introduced on The Oprah Winfrey Show and that it was used and supported by celebrities like Mary. J Blidge, Jada Pinket, Will Smith and Jay Z. We stepped into this amazing store on that day in October I immediately fell in love with the smell of all the products. Being a perfume lover, I couldn't resist to buy the perfume of Carol's Daughter. A sweet almond flavor. The women behind the brand is Lisa Price. She started making hair products in her Brooklyn, New York kitchen with just 100$. Today her homemade beauty line is a multi million dollar business. Unfortunately, I have to fly to the states or order it online if I want to buy a product from Carol's Daughter. Not that I don't like that, cause everybody that knows me, knows how much I'm in love with the states.

There are more stories of black female entrepreneurs who made it. Starting from the scratch. These stories I want to see and hear more of. While I was researching I found 20 success stories of black female entrepreneurs I wanted to share. Click the link. http://atlantablackstar.com/2014/09/22/20-success-stories-of-black-female-entrepreneurs-you-may-not-know/

Definitely worth reading to inspire yourself and those around you. I know that there are many young ladies out there that want to dream big, that want to achieve more than where they came from but have never been in contact of what is possible. They have never seen ordinary people just like them making it. They never had role models, I believe it's very important to know what is possible to be able to dream about that possibility. If you have never seen success or prosperity how else are you gonna know what success is or how prosperity looks like. If you have never seen beauty how else are you gonna dream and have a vision about beauty.
To the world out there, to publishers, to producers, to the whole media industry here in The Netherlands there are many successful black women out there. Open your eyes and you'll see rich, successful colors all around you.

A day out the Life of a Creative Artist

My hands are itching, my fingers are dancing ready to write a new post. The more I’m writing on what’s on my mind, the more I’m loving it! So many days I felt like I wanted to write and share something but then I had no Idea what to write about. And today I felt I’m just gonna share what’s going on on a regular day in my life. On my journey as a Creative Artist.

Well I have been doing all kinds of researches about creativity and innovation. Reading books, blogs, articles and so much more. I’m aware of the chainges in the artscene and that is why I continually ask myself what can I do to be different? What can I do to stand out? What can I do with my talents and gifts to make a difference in my community and in the world today?

One of the changes I want to see in the community I’m living in here in The Netherlands is more Cultural Diversity in the professional theatre and actingscene. I also want to help others where I can. I’m always out there giving advise, sharing information and encouraging others to fulfill there dreams. I’m not there yet, I’m on my own journey but I do think creative artists and entrepreneurs should help each other and learn from one another. The me, myself and I additude has to stop, it’s about we and us and how can we help eachother to become better in our profession.
So two days ago in the shower, How I love the shower. I love the hot/ warm water, the fragrance of soap and wash gel, I’m crazy about it. Especially fresh citrus, ocean, sweet and almond fragrances. From parfume to washing powder I just love things that smell good, but above all. I get the best Idea’s under the shower!
I think that is the moment we really relax, under the hot/warm water.

So I got a great Idea what I’m gonna work out and I hope It will inspire a lot of other creative artists. That is my mission. So stay tune.

Other things I had to do and what I love too do:
  • Singing praises to the Lord
  • Reading my bible
  • Writing a new poem at 5am on my phone
  • Writing an essay about Cultural Diversity in the Dutch theatre and actingscene.
  • Thanking for a link about a black stage play in theatres now, about black slaves.
  • Writing a short scéne about stress at the workplace.
  • Learning more about blogging
  • Reading a book of Sir Ken Robison about finding your creativity back (TED speaker)

Well this was it for now, stay Creative, Innovative and always yourself

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing,

Nadira
