How do you celebrate Christmas during a lockdown due to the pandemic? You surround yourself with that what matters most. Your family and loved ones. Our Christmas traditions is that we all dress up very nice, we have fancy diners, laugh, tell jokes, share gifts, eat a lot of sea food and drink our Ponche Kuba. This year we were celebrating it all together. Last year we were at Correndon Resort in Curacao. Lockdown or no Lockdown we decided to make the best of it! Being thankful for another Blessed year. Happy Birthday to me | Mediterranean Diner Party

So grateful for being able to celebrate this day!

I wanted to have a whole Mediterranean birthday party. I wanted to bring Barcelona back home, with tapas, paella, soup, wine and all that good stuff. 

Oftentimes we take life and our loved ones for granted, we have gotten used to it and don't see the blessing in it anymore. There is so much going on in the world today, young people leave their lives way too early, so it makes you realize, life is not guaranteed. Everyday is a gift, a blessing. 

The most important thing for me was to celebrate my birthday with my family. With my closest family. These are the people I grew up with and they are always there for me. 

We may not always agree, but we love each other and are always there when another one is in need. 

So enjoy my birthday party and meet my family and all their hilarious craziness.

The truth about my hair | Hair loss problems

Hello you guys, Im doing something totally outside my comfort zone today. But I felt it was time to share more about myself. Sometimes people are looking at you, they hang around with you, but they have no clue of the trials and tribulations you are facing. I felt it's time for me to open up, I'm getting older hahaha, but I realize how important it is for us to talk and to keep things real. We all have our things in life and the only way to get through this rollercoaster of life is when we learn to be honest with ourselves and one another. So I will be sharing my story about my hair loss and my hair and health journey and I hope it will encourage someone else facing hard trials in life. This was something. Sailing the Mediterranean sea. This is a experience I will never forget. Although I have been on boats before, this one was different. It was the sun kissing my skin, it was the breeze whispering in my ear, It was the music grooving oldschool. It was the wings that I felt on that ocean. Barcelona at night | shopping in Barcelona

What to do on a Saturday night in Barcelona?

We did our hair, make up and got dressed for a rooftop cocktail night. We were ready for the night. It turned out to be a whole journey to find a rooftop/ sky bar. There are tons of them in Barcelona, only they close around 10pm. So you have to be out early. We went to three hotels and every time we got there, they were already about to close.

We had to improvise and find another place where we could eat tapas and drink cocktails.

Thank God we did find that and a whole lot more.

We went to visit Maremagnum the only covered shopping center in Barcelona. They have Zara, Mango, Jack&Jones, Bershka, Victoria Secret, and many other great shops. It's the only one that stays open on Sunday's. So if its raining in Barcelona, you know the place to be. We had an adventurous weekend.

My trip to Barcelona was amazing. There were so many things we did and see in a short time. Barcelona is known for its art, restaurant, tapas, beautiful views, cocktails and beaches. In this vlog I will take you with me to one of the best hidden restaurants in Barcelona. Bar & Restaurant Santa Fe. Definitely a restaurant you have to put on your list whenever you are planning to visit Barcelona. We also took the subway, the underground and went to the beach of Barcelona. I knew Barcelona had a harbor from my first visit, years ago. But this time I also discovered the beaches. Barcelona has 9 beaches. We went to visit Barceloneta and had some amazing cocktails. It was really a trip to remember and one to do over again. Barcelona was really great, I don't know why I waited so long to go back to see all the beauty of the city. Fly with me to Barcelona | My get away to Spain during the pandemic

I am back from a short break that I really needed. After working and working so hard on my last Poetry&Talkshow I was finally able to take a short break. I decided to leave the cold behind and to look up some sun. We had a few places in mind, like London or France, but due to safety restrictions we decided to fly off to Barcelona. The area is still safe and there are still a lot of things to do like visite a restaurant or do other activities.

I went for 1 week, we had so much fun. We did and saw a lot. We eat, had nice cocktails, went to the beach, had a bike tour and went on a yacht. So there will be several vlogs coming up. How I got on TV | TV Direct | Jachmin Productions

Hello, hello, hello.

Zo blij ben ik met deze vlog. Ik heb maanden gewacht om deze vlog met jullie te delen. Waarom? Omdat dit een van de hoogtepunten is geweest van mijn verblijf op Curacao.

Kennis maken met alle familieleden die ik nog niet kon is er een geweest, en als je me al langer ken dan vandaag dan weet je dat ik een passie hebt voor tv, media, entertainment en het empoweren van vrouwen.

Nou in deze vlog kwam alles bijeen. Ik ontmoette de nicht van mijn moeder. Jachmin Pinedo van Jachmin Productions / TV Direct op Curacao. Ik heb een heel interessant gesprek met haar mogen hebben. We spraken over dromen, doelen, talenten, gifts en purpose. Wat een boost heb ik gehad na het spreken met Jachmin. Het heeft me nog meer gepushed om meer uit te stappen, om meer te doen met de Stem van de Vrouw en Woman of Purpose.

Ontdek de hoogste berg van Curaçao | Christoffelberg

Of ik conditie had, dat werd me gevraagd toen we plannen aan het maken waren om de hoogste berg van Curacao te beklimmen.

Ja hoor, ik beweeg elke dag, ik werk hard en oke, soms jog ik ook. Dus ik zal wel conditie hebben.

Oke, we pikken je op om 04:30 uur, ik moest even slikken toen ik dat hoorde, maar ik bleef bikkel. Oke dat betekend gewoon op tijd naar bed, Nadira. En dat is wat ik zoveel mogelijk probeerde, maar 3:30 opstaan, was toch wel even wat. Maar ik deed het. Om 6:00 uur waren we in het park, klaar om de berg te beklimmen.

En toen begreep ik de vraag heb je goede conditie, Nadira. Oh my Lord. Ik zweette bloed, zweet en tranen. Ik heb het gevoeld, maar ik had ja gezegd dus er was geen weg meer terug.

Familiegeschiedenis op Curaçao | Back to my Roots

Back to my roots. Voor het eerst in mijn leven krijg ik te zien waar mijn voorouders begraven liggen. Zoals jullie weten vloog ik in december 2020 voor het eerst terug naar Curaçao. Een groot gedeelte van mijn familie heb ik nooit gekend en een klein gedeelte pas na jaren. Eindelijk vloog ik in december voor het eerst weer terug naar mijn geboorte eiland. Het voelde als thuiskomen voor mij. Iets in mijn spirit connecte. In deze vlog gaan we langs mijn moeders basisschool en de begraafplaats waar een groot gedeelte van mijn familie aan mijn moederskant liggen begraven. Dit heeft enorme indruk op mij gemaakt. Voor het eerst hoorde ik de verhalen over wie zij waren en wat zij deden. Verhalen over wie ze waren en waar ze voor stonden. Heel bijzonder, heel mooi, heel bevrijdend. Kerst op Curaçao | Pasku na Korsou

Yessss, wat een superleuke vlog is dit! Het heeft even geduurd maar hij is er! Kerst op Curacao. Geniet ervan.

December 25, 2020. Celebrating my first Christmas on my birth island Curaçao. 

25 December 2020, vierde ik mijn eerste kerst op mijn geboorte eiland Curacao. Kerst voor het eerst in de zon, op een eiland. Geweldig! 

We vierden kerst met familie en vrienden en hadden een heerlijke Caribische brunch bij het restaurant bij ons in het Villapark Fontein Resort. Restaurant Muse, dit restaurant verdient echt een Michelin ster. Het eten is daar geweldig, verassend, en heerlijk. De service fantastisch en gezellig. We waren vaste bezoekers daar want het is echt een toprestaurant met zwembad, jacuzzi en een mooie tuin om een heerlijke wandeling in te maken. Met kerst genoten we hier van een heerlijke brunch met familie, het was een geslaagde kerst.

Een dagje Punda en naar het strand

Zoals jullie misschien inmiddels al weten, vloog ik in december voor het eerst naar mijn geboorte eiland, Curacao.

Tijdens mijn verblijf op Curaçao bezochten we zoveel plaatsen. Dat moest ook wel, als geboren yu korsou moest ik mijn eiland wel leren kennen. In deze vlog neem ik je mee naar Punda en het strand. Curacao staat bekend voor zijn parelwitte stranden. Het eiland met zoveel rijkdom. Het was geweldig om weer terug te zijn op het eiland waar ik mijn eerste stappen zette. Ik neem je mee naar playa kenepa chiki/ strand kleine knip en heb nog een verassing van playa piscado/ visserstrand. En tot slot nog een mooie afsluiting.

Winkelen op Curacao | Van Otrobanda naar Punda

Hello family and friends, Zoals jullie weten ben ik in december voor het eerst naar Curacao gevlogen. Curacao is mijn geboorte eiland. Ik vloog samen met mijn moeder terug na 40 jaar. We hebben zoveel verschillende plekken bezocht. Mijn moeder was my own personal travel guide. In deze vlog gaan we winkelen in Sambil en op stap met de bus. We rijden van Otrobanda naar Punda.
